The Honors and Awards Committee serves the important function of acknowledging those individuals or groups who have distinguished themselves as certified athletic trainers or through their efforts have made a significant contribution to the athletic training profession. Members and others can nominate potential candidates for recognition by submitting the appropriate recommendations. This is usually done by December 1st each year in order for the committee to make its selections. The awards are presented at the annual meeting and symposium held the following January.
