Greetings My Fellow Athletic Trainers:

My name is Thaddeus Avery II & I am running for the position of West Tennessee Representative. I am a 2004 graduate of Tennessee State University & a 2007 graduate of the University of Arkansas. I have been fortunate to serve as the Head Athletic Trainer for Bartlett High School the last 11 years. For the last 4 years, I have also been the Sports Medicine Manager for Campbell Orthopaedic Clinic in Germantown, TN.   I am further blessed to be married to my wife, Tiffany & have two daughters, Tamyra & Tia.

As the West Tennessee Representative, I would strive to work towards completing the following goals:

-       Increase overall activity/participation from West Tennessee Athletic Trainers in several committees

-       Continue to promote the profession of Athletic Training in West Tennessee

-       Work to serve as a strong & influential voice for West Tennessee

-       Encourage more social activities to promote positive camaraderie amongst West Tennessee

In my free time, II enjoy engaging in community service projects with my fraternity, taking sporadic trips out of town with family, yard work, & singing (I’m just ok, not great). As a reasonably young professional in the world of Athletic Training, I would like to hope that my willingness to serve beyond the immediate needs would serve as a positive role model for future Athletic Trainers to emulate for years to come.

Thank in advance for your consideration!!
