Special Election: President-Elect
Call for Nominations
The Tennessee Athletic Trainers' Society seeks from its members a call for nominations for the newly instated President-Elect position on the TATS Executive Board. Nominations for this Special Election will open August 1st and end on August 15th, 2026 and the voting process, once eligibility is confirmed, will occur September 1-15, 2026. Nominations will be accepted by completion of this form on the TATS website which are sent to the TATS Parliamentarian for verification of qualifications.
Details regarding expected duties of this office may be read in the current bylaws. Due to the timing of bylaws approval, this first President-Elect term will be 8 months (October - May) in length rather than 12 months. The President-Elect will assume the office of President upon completion of the President-Elect term (e.g., in May 2027).
Qualifications:
Must be a Licensed Professional Member in good standing with TATS and a Certified Member of NATA;
Must have served on the TATS Executive Board for at least two (2) years within the seven (7) years immediately preceding election, OR have served as chair or co-chair of a TATS standing committee for at least two (2) years within the seven (7) years immediately preceding election;
Must be in compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and ethical standards of NATA, TATS, the Tennessee Board of Athletic Trainers, and the Board of Certification (BOC);
Must hold a current, valid Tennessee athletic training license throughout the entirety of the President-Elect and President terms.
